Privacy Policy
Effective June 29, 2026. LexReview collects and processes information needed to create accounts, provide study features, protect the service, process subscriptions, and improve learning workflows.
Information we use
Account details, study activity, uploaded reference metadata, mobile device tokens, subscription status, checkout status, search logs, AI usage logs, uploaded file contents, extracted text, generated outputs, and system logs may be processed to deliver the platform and keep it secure.
Mobile app data
The Android app uses secure tokens to keep students signed in, may cache recent dashboard, legal reference, flashcard, and planner data on the device, and clears private local data when the user logs out.
Usage and reliability telemetry
LexReview collects usage, performance, device/app, and error telemetry to improve reliability, accuracy, security, and product quality. Sensitive content, passwords, API keys, tokens, payment secrets, raw uploaded file contents, and full essay answers are not intentionally logged.
AI-assisted features
Essay practice, legal reference assistance, flashcards, case digests, mock exam explanations, and study suggestions may send study prompts, answers, excerpts, or uploaded text to server-side AI services. AI output may be inaccurate and should be verified. LexReview does not store OpenAI keys or storage credentials in the mobile app.
Uploaded documents
Uploaded files may be stored, parsed, indexed, summarized, searched, and used to generate study outputs for authorized users. Access controls are designed to separate student and admin permissions. Do not upload documents unless you have the right to use them in LexReview.
Payments and subscriptions
Payment checkout and payment status may be handled by a payment provider such as PayMongo. LexReview should store subscription status and payment references, but it should not store full card numbers or payment secrets in application source code.
How information is protected
LexReview uses role-based access controls, secure authentication practices, server-side secrets, protected infrastructure services, and operational logging controls to reduce unauthorized access risks. Production deployments should use secure persistent storage rather than source-bundled runtime files.
Student and admin access
Student accounts can access student features only. Administrative features are limited to authorized admin users.
Retention, deletion, and removal requests
Users may request account deletion, uploaded document removal, or personal data removal through the Support page. LexReview may retain limited records where required for security, billing, compliance, dispute handling, backups, or legitimate operations.
Contact and updates
This policy may be updated as the platform evolves. For privacy, data removal, or account deletion requests, use the Support page or email support@lexreview.app.
